You could be eligible to up to £500 every 3 months for each of your children to help with childcare costs. Eligibility depends on:

• Your employment status

• Your income

• Your child's age and circumstances

• Your immigration status

The UK Government website offers a childcare calculator which works out the type of help you may be eligible for.

Eligible working families in England with 3 and 4 year old children can receive 30 hours of free childcare each week.

All families in England with 3 and 4 year old children are eligible for 15 hours of free childcare 

Eligible families in England receiving some forms of support with 2 year olds 

Starting in April 2024, childcare support is due to be expanded. This means that working parents of 2 year olds will be able to access 15 hours of childcare support.

From September 2024, 15 hours childcare support will be extended to working parents of children from the age of 9 months to 3 years old.
